Why can’t I get pictures to go where I put them in word?
I’m putting photos in a text box (in a template that is not mine). But they move about – they don’t stay where I put them I’ve tried every thing: formatting the picture so that it is in front of the text, moving it by pressing dragging whilst pressing alt (so that the anchors are ignored) this has some effect, but it still jumps around.
Even when I first select the picture, the outline jumps to another position. I’ve tried resizing to make pictures bigger, but they jump around. I’ve tried cropping, they still jump.
How can this be? the pictures should float
Try grouping the photos and the text box so that they are one object. Click on a photo and holding the shift key click on each other photo in turn and then on the text box. Right-click on the edge of the box and choose Grouping – Group. You will need to change the wrapping layout ‘in line with text’ or ‘in front of text’ again. This should make them more stable.
