Building a list is the best way of producing a real steady stream of monthly income from your on-line business.  Even if you are an affiliate marketer,  you should be working to build an opt-in e-mail list so that you can have an audience waiting to hear from you.

To do this,  you have to have an auto-responder service that will allow you to collect names and e-mail addresses and then set up an automatic sequence of e-mails to contact them.

When I first started out,  I went with one that was not even set up to collect names.  All it did was collect e-mail addresses.  Your contacts will be more likely to open up an e-mail that has their name in the subject line,  so do not make this mistake.  Although I did make sales,  I can only imagine what my numbers would have been then if I had chosen the right service.

Also,  choosing the right service that I have now,  has made my opt-in rate jump from under 15 % to 39.2 % with the first site that I ever built.  And I have another one that converts even higher than this.
