I want to set up a web site for ad revenue?
I am an armature computer user and I have very little knowledge of web designing or hosting for that matter. I’m a pretty broke student also so I thought of setting up a website and trying to earn advertising revenue from it.
I cannot afford professional hosting at least int he near future! So would you know of any free site which offers decent space and an ability to have a basic design and instructions on how to maintain and upload articles? I’l probably go with a 80% 20% images layout, so I wont need that much of space.
After that I need to select an advertier. Is yahoo or Google better?

You can start with blogger.com. It is free and the easiest for you since they have Google Adsense integrated into it. Yes, that answers your question on which Advertiser to use – definitely Google.
